I'm Henry Doce. I built Humboldt Digital to solve a specific problem I kept seeing: established local businesses losing calls to competitors because they don't show up on Google.
The Pattern I Noticed
When I moved to Humboldt County in June 2025, I immediately noticed something: established businesses that had been serving the community for decades were completely invisible on Google.
A 40-year plumbing business getting beat by a 3-year-old competitor just because the new guy showed up in Google Maps. An HVAC contractor who'd built their reputation over 30 years losing emergency calls at 2am because their Google Business Profile was incomplete or abandoned.
This bothered me. These are good businesses doing good work. They've earned their reputation through years of service to Humboldt County. But when someone searches "plumber Arcata" or "HVAC Eureka," they're nowhere to be found.
